For crap's sake.  This dope doesn't learn anything.

I'm a complete liberal, but this guy has to go, and his banishment should take him the farthest away from the public eye as possible.

He had to resign his seat in Congress in DISGRACE for tweeting pictures of his joint, now it turns out that AFTER that humiliation he was STILL shooting pictures of his johnson out into the Twitterverse. Now he wants to be Mayor of New York.

I'm all for privacy in one's personal life, but this transcends privacy issues and becomes an honesty thing.  By continuing to behave like a twelve-year-old who has just discovered the wonders of jerking off he is saying "Fuck you" to his wife, and not in a good way.

Please, Anthony.  Begone.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

But to be the Mayor you kinda have to be an asshole. But I don't think he's up to the job mainly because he's a child. He isn't interested in doing the public good. This is all about a career move for himself.

When you look at his record, Weiner has done the least for New Yorkers than any person running for Mayor.

You don't like Weiner. That's fine. I don't much care if he wants to mail pics of his junk to consenting adults. If he's bombarding women with unwanted pics of his junk, there are laws in place to deal with it.

But c'mon, dick-as-nose pics? Grow up.

If you don't want folks to be exposed to unexpected dick pics, this is a funny way to make your point.

More proof that in politics, it ain't the cream that rises to the top.  Although in Weiner's case it might look suspiciously like cream.

who is giving this guy election  advice?  He had to  know this was going to come out. If he had  made a statement expliciltly in his  declaration of candidacy on day one that provided full disclousre of when the texting occurred and stopped, this would be a non story now. I don't really care he was sexting, I do care that he has acted stupidly yet again and that is what, in my mind disqualifies him from contention.  I didn't care  about Clinton and monica, don't care about Spitzer and his pros and really don't care so much about vitter (although hypocrisy by family values guys does make that a diffferent issue). When will politicians learn that it is faliure to disclose and coverup and obfuscate that turns the public against them.

He says he is in therapy and his wife has forgiven him.  That is good enough for me.  Although he never actually had body to body sex with any of these women he texted.  I believe also that they were all of consenting age.  He didn't rape anyone.  If he sent a nasty picture to any of them they could have deleted it and called the police to say he was harassing them.  Obviously there was something going on mutually with the sexting.  Some man and woman have real sexual affairs.  Weiner has sexting affairs.  That should be a matter between him and his wife.

Nothing he did is illegal.  He is not being a hypocrite about it (preaching God, Marriage, Morality, while hiring rent boys, having a wide stance in an airport men's room or bedding prostitutes).  It is up the voters of NYC to decide if they want him for mayor, not puritanical moralists.

June 2012 that you are focused entirely on your family and rebuilding your marriage, while at the same time actively sexting a young woman, not hypocritical? When a person shows themselves to be a serial liar, both to his wife AND to the public, I don't really understand why anybody would say that is irrelevant. Because it is okay to lie repeatedly as long as what you are lying about concerns sex? Is that the theory?

In addition to the lying is the judgment displayed. He is a very ambitious man, yet repeatedly risks his career to carry on relationships with women. Relationships that he carries out in writing, of all things. I think it is incumbent on you to explain how a man can be so devoid of sound judgment, again, serially, while at the same time he can be a man of sound judgment.

He has a sex addiction for which it sounds like he's getting therapy.  This is something that he and his wife are dealing with and it should be between them and nobody else.  Somebody can do good in their lives and have a sex addiction and literally throw everything away.  He obviously has a problem for which he needs help and to see people joking about it, really turns my stomach.  Would a recovering alcoholic be treated as badly, if he went on the wagon and had a relapse, but continued in treatment, a drug addict?  There is no difference with someone who is a sex addict, in fact many sex addicts attend treatment programs that are much aligned with AA.  Cut him some slack.  The photo is childish, by the way.

....How about you grow the fuck up and get out of this man's bedroom.....

How about you think a bit and realize this isn't "just his bedroom."  He put it out there, in public, on tweets to women who, initially, weren't in any sort of personal relationship with him.  How about you think that if he gets elected and does this again, that any woman who received the tweets could sue him and the city might be liable?  How about you think a bit more and realize this isn't a matter of prudish overreaction?  The man didn't simply have an affair with a consenting adult partner.  This is more than that.

I was in the car on the way to the store a half hour ago and the local Christian family network was attacking the dems, as usual, and prattling on about how a man with Weiner's history might get elected mayor of the most powerful city in the US outside of Washington DC?   Usually I like to call in and give them hell.  I didn't this morning.  Too embarrassed.  Weiner should have concentrated on his marriage and gone back into law, or done anything else but run for mayor.

his wife continues to not only stick by the guy, but stand next to him.  What in the world does this man have that keeps someone like her interested in him?  She's Hilary Clinton's aide for God's sake.

That being said.....when the tweeted pictures showed up after his resignation, I think he was still a sick puppy.  It depends on how long after his resignation, he did the deed.

He's a compulsive exhibitionist sex addict.  But for some reason, this woman thinks the guy is worth the humiliation.

Yep, hard to figure what his wife's motivation is.

Yes, sex exhibitionism may be a sickness and thus be worth according some measure of compassion--continuing to deceive your wife about sexual liaising while publically declaring that you have turned your life around is not a "sickness", it's blatant, self-indulgent, ignominious lying.
