The popular Netroots Nation auction continues until tomorrow night! And man, oh man did some great items come in this weekend. So let's take a look at a few of them.
And remember, all proceeds allow the good folks at Netroots Nation to bring you the annual convention - which next year will be in Detroit, MI. That's right, Rick Snyder and all your pals in your legislature, we're coming your way! Here's a handy link to register.
Alrighty, let's take a look at just a few of the 106 items that are up for bid.
Mythbuster fans, this one is for you. Up for auction is a
box-framed prop from a "Mythbusters" build, signed by your intrepid hosts, Adam and Jamie, commemorating yet another exciting episode of the duo as they keep expanding the boundaries of how we test and play with science. The winning bidder also will receive some signed show swag!
Thinking of going to RootsCamp this year in DC? With this auction item you'll get four passes to this "Unconference AND a headshot. The value of the headshot session alone is $350! RootsCamp is an open space "un-conference" with an agenda driven by the people who attend.
Thanks to the good folks at Amnesty International we offer
this poster which reads: The America I believe in does not torture people.
The America I believe in does not run secret prisons.
The America I believe in would shut down Guantanamo Bay.
Alliance for Justice, who I think has exhibited at nearly every Netroots Nation has offered this really valuable service for auction - Customized Webinar on the Rules & Regulations of Advocacy with Alliance for Justice. As they describe this donation: Alliance for Justice will work with the winning bidder to customize a webinar training to meet the needs of their organization. The goal of the webinar is to help organizations embrace advocacy and use it as a tool to further support the communities they serve and strengthen the capacity of the nonprofit to engage in public policy debates.
Isn't this a
beautiful necklace and earring set? Handcrafted by the donor, the 21" necklace is made from art glass beads, glazed and fired to produce a crackled matte finish in turquoise with dark veining. The beads are 13mm ovals alternating with 12mm x 15mm teardrops and 3mm silver spacers. The 1.5" long earrings are post and ball style. The necklace has a magnetic clasp making it easy to put on and take off. All findings are silver plate and very easy to care for.
