What is for dinner? How are you doing? What is on your mind. If you are new to Street Prophets please introduce yourself beyond the fold in a comment. This is an Open Thread / Coffee Hour and all topics of conversation are welcome. Today's Coffee Hour is brought to you by Reunion Picnics.

Over the weekend, on Saturday, I attended my high school's "all years reunion" at a lovely park in my home town. I had a long day doing nothing but talking to my friends and classmates.

In the picture above I'm sitting in the front row just to the right of the guy in the blue  with a hat sitting in a chair. Directly below the High in the sign "De Anza High."

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

50th reunion which was very interesting. I might go to my 60th if there's anyone left functioning.

While I sorta "went" to high school, I wasn't really there. I was into work (I had a full-time job) and being in the woods. I didn't do any of the social stuff and don't even remember the names of anyone I was in school with.

of mine back in the late 90's. We had been adversaries (I thought he was a douchenozzle real jerk in HS) in High School but at the time, we were working together. He thought it would be a hoot to go to the reunion together. Not just "together", but hold hands (he is straight, I am gay, we're both guys). Well, the desired effect was achieved and we had a great time and scandalized a number of people in the process. It was performance art, in a way.

My 20th would have been in 2007. I didn't go. Neither, as far as I know, did my friend. But in between he and I (and many others) built something really great together which included many of us that came back to where we went to HS after going away to college and getting together to make something cool and enduring. Anyone who attends a Catastrophic Theatre event in Houston is reaping the crops we sowed so many, many years ago.

I doubt if anyone in my high school has any idea where I am. As far as college I've thought about maybe going but somehow never got around to it.

Been working on my cookbook today. With all the recipes people want me to do this cookbook is getting huge.

Tomorrow I have to take time to contact moving companies and get my brother out here. We are looking at mid September so I need to hustle. I got his apartment locked down today. It is about 80 feet from mine.
