Glad to see the Democratic Governors Association go after this asshole:
They think they can intimidate her – call her ugly names and dismiss her.
Republican Texas gubernatorial hopeful Greg Abbott thanked a supporter on Twitter who called state Senator Wendy Davis “retard Barbie.”
It was a disgusting insult, hurtful to the mentally challenged and aimed at demeaning Senator Davis for standing up for women’s rights. Attorney General Abbott wrote in reply, “Jeff, thanks for your support.”
Now Abbott is refusing to apologize.
Join the DGA and call on Greg Abbott to apologize for endorsing disgusting comments about Senator Wendy Davis:

This level of vitriol from the Right tells me one thing: They know that Wendy Davis offers the kind of real change that Texas voters want – and they are scared to death of her because of it.
If they think can intimidate her, they are in for a real shock. This is the woman who stood on the Senate floor for 11 hours straight to block Governor Perry’s attack on women’s access to health care. It doesn’t matter how many insults they hurl at her – she’s not going to back down or be silenced.
Senator Davis can handle herself just fine, but it’s important to women everywhere – in Texas and across the country – that we send a message that demeaning female officeholders by calling them names like “Barbie” is just never acceptable.
Add your voice and demand that Greg Abbott apologize for endorsing misogynistic attacks on Senator Wendy Davis:
