If you did the NSA/FBI read your texts and email.
The NSA commands internet service providers (ISPs) to send “various stream internet traffic it believes most likely to contain foreign intelligence,” then copies that data and searches through it.
NSA officials have claimed in recent weeks that the intelligence agency “touches” a mere 1.6 percent of internet traffic, although TechCrunch speculated that rhetoric refers to information that has been sent to the NSA and “culled to their liking.”
Perhaps the most disturbing news is that the NSA worked in conjunction with the FBI to monitor all email and text messages for the six month period surrounding the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah.
And I'm certain certain teams attending will have some legal objections to this violation of privacy. Since they do need to strategize and plan team activities in private.
As a matter of fact this just might put every American Medal into question since cheating was a possibility.
Since the NSA will not be honest with anyone, teams may no longer want to attend Games hosted here knowing that communications that are supposedly private were not.
When we finally get to the root of the invasiveness we are experiencing there may not be a single aspect of our lives not touched by the cold dark hands of the NSA Spying Scandal.
