More rebranding FAIL for narrow-minded anti-gay GOP bigots, this time in Alabama:

Senior members of the Alabama Republican Party are trying to kick a 23-year-old college Republican off their steering committee after she told a local news site that same-sex marriage was reasonable because “we’re governed by the constitution and not the Bible.”

Petelos told BuzzFeed that some members of the state party’s leadership were furious when her comments were published, and they began discussing ways to oust her from the party’s steering committee, which always guarantees a spot for the college Republican chair....

....But she said one member of the steering committee, Bonny Sachs, has continued a campaign to get rid of her, and has been ginning up support among members of the state party.

She’s a 23-year-old girl who’s being bullied by some 50- and 60-year-old people because she made a statement in the paper,” said Chris Brown, former chair of the Young Republican Federation of Alabama.

Goposaur won't evolve!

They just cannot help themselves.  They are determined to ram their Bibles down everyone's throats and subvert democracy with theocracy.  If the Founders had wanted a theocracy, they would have put that in the Constitution.  They didn't.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
