You ought to be out raising hell. This is the fighting age. Put on your fighting clothes.

Idaho Springs, Colorado - A Fair Judge, Part I
After the shameful destruction of the Sun and Moon property in late July of this year, the blame was immediately fixed, without any proof whatsoever, upon the Western Federation of Miners. Honest miners, men who created the great prosperity of this part of Colorado, where pulled from their beds and arrested by the Sheriff of Clear Creek County. But the men were not taken to jail, instead they were turned over to a mob calling itself the "Citizens' Protective League." Several of these miners were then summarily exiled from their own town, their homes, and their families.
Now, it is not often that we find judges who concern themselves much with the rights of union men, but Judge Owers is an exception. He immediately issued an injunction against the CPL. The 18 miners who had been deported where allowed to return to their homes and their families. Judge Owers then issued arrest warrants for the members of the CPL who had taken part in the illegal deportations.
More on Judge Owers in tomorrow's Hellraisers.

The Southern Colorado Coalfield - United Mine Workers of America Organizing
With the strike in the northern field at a stalemate, organizing efforts by the United Mine Workers of America in the southern field have only increased. The organizers work in pairs, we are told, with one member of the pair working openly, and the other working quietly down in the mine.
The Union is hoping for a peaceful solution to the disagreements between the operators and the Union, but is preparing for a strike in the southern field, should a strike become necessary.

Hellraisers Journal on vacation!
Hellraisers will appear in abbreviated form until Sept 2nd for a vacation of sorts. A total vacation is not possible since the capitalist never took any time off in their suppression of the U.S. labor movement.
