If there was any doubt before that can now be buried for good.
The legislation would fund federal agencies at an annualized rate of more than $986 billion but would also leave in place automatic spending cuts known as sequestration, set to take effect in January.
Earlier in the year it was
And not only that, but multiple Republicans are complaining about the cuts hitting their own districts, variously calling them “unwise,” claiming they raise concerns about “safety,” that they betray a “troubling lack of priorities,” and risk having “devastating impacts on entire communities.” Meanwhile, news accounts from around the country are demonstrating that the sequester is beginning to do real damage.
Then it became
Boehner, who has repeatedly said the sequester should be replaced with more targeted spending cuts, has had trouble persuading Tea Party conservatives to get in line behind him over the upcoming budget negotiations. Eighty House Republicans signed an Aug. 21 letter—written by Meadows—urging Boehner to demand that President Obama defund the Affordable Care Act or face a government shutdown on Sept. 30, when Washington’s authority to spend money will run out unless Congress approves additional funds. Boehner has said he won’t do that
So basically the Sequester has become Republican policy and there is no way now for them to deny this with today's vote.
Heck sure if it messed with their flight plans they were going to do something about that otherwise it is all well and good.
It is time for the Democratic Party to go on the attack.
Republicans don't care if you are bankrupted by health costs.
Republicans couldn't care less if you die through lack of health insurance
Republicans don't care if you cant feed your family.
Republicans don't care if they bring the whole system down unless everyone does what they say.
In other words Republicans don't care about America's social fabric. They will trash it for their own political selfishness.
