I volunteer at The Historic Blairstown Theatre and it looks like it's going to be a pretty busy fall season. So Otis, Evan, and the gang's journey across the Atlantic from England to the U.S. may take longer than I had planned.
But I'll try to make it worth your while to keep stopping by on Tuesday's at 8PM. For example, tonight below the orange antimacassar there's a video of what I consider to be an important song. And it had it's first (full*) performance before an audience, at The Historic Blairstown Theatre.
*Watch the video to see why I use the qualifier, "Full."
PS, not safe for work because of one use of one word, (but what other word would you have used in its place)?
From the forthcoming Saint Rich album, "Beyond the Drone."
PPS, I posted a different (static video) version of this same song a few weeks ago. This one has moving pictures. And maybe, if you're all real good, I'll post a live version someday.
As for a connection to Otis and Evan? I suppose I could say that this is the sort of talent that wouldn't have been booked on a trans-Atlantic luxury liner in 1907. But really, it's because I think this song needs to be heard.
best,
john
