I am watching the House in session now. This is a commercial for bipartisan cooperation. The first bill debated was about drug compounding -- both sides are against citizens dying horrible deaths from meningitis. It's a virtual love-in.
The second bill is about protecting our embassies. Both sides are for it.
What was so important about these uncontroversial matters to schedule them for a Saturday session? Nothing.
This is laying the groundwork for the next attack on the President. "Look Mr. President, the members of your own party are willing to work with us. Why are you being so obstinate?"
