Although I still can't create an account, I was able to get price quotes. Assuming I keep my job but lost insurance due to my employer dropping me (unlikely):
Cheapest Bronze plan $835/month
Only Platinum plan $1445/month
Most expensive gold plan (includes pediatric dentistry) $2395/month
That's for a family of 4, and there are no subsidies because my employed income is above $85,000 / year.
By comparison, I'm paying almost $400/month right now as my share of my employer plan, which is probably closer to platinum than bronze. I guestimate that my employer is paying more than the platinum plan ... perhaps a lot more.
We might both be better off if they just discontinued health insurance ... but I'm waiting to see what my rates look like during open enrollment.
