"Ask me anything about Daily Kos" banner for "Ask me anything" weekly feature
It's Friday, and that means it's Ask Me Anythings day on Daily Kos. Since I'm here, that means I drew the Happy Fun Straw and will attempt to answer all of your questions about, er, Daily Kos.

By way of introduction, here's what I wrote last time by way of introduction. Well, that saved time. Short version: I'm one of the writers here. Slightly longer version: I am the writer here who gets assigned all the horrible stories about horrible people being horrible for no good reason other than they genuinely like being horrible, which generally boils down to people like Steve King, and people whose grasp of reality is so fragile that it makes you question whether democracy can survive their rather odd interpretation of it—that would be people like America's Dumbest Congressman, Louie Gohmert. Oh, and right-wing religious radio hosts, who are truly among the most vile people on the planet. By a lot.

Introduction over. Input questions. Can't promise I'll have any good answers, but I am fully authorized to think real hard about them and/or wait patiently in hopes that someone who does know the answer will wander by and give a better answer than I could.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
