This entire crisis happened because the Republicans wanted to deny Americans healthcare.
Yeah, that's what most everyone believes, but that's not all of it. We need to go a bit deeper.
Since a healthcare mandate was first introduced by The Heritage Foundation (a Republican organization) over two decades ago, obviously the Grand Old Party had no problem with "Americans" getting healthcare. Then in 2006, Republican Rmoney actually picked up the baton by implementing it in his home state. However, when it became politically inconvenient he tried to distance himself from it. And that inconveniency only happened after President Obama, a black Democrat, picked the GOP baton up and ran with it, giving us what is now known as Obamacare.
Of course, Mendacious Mitt came out in support of national healthcare during one of his previous presidential runs, but when faced with Obamacare, Romney claimed his plan and Obama's weren't the same, despite the fact that the two programs were basically identical.
Therefore, having the uninsured "take personal responsibility" by purchasing healthcare insurance rather than the insured subsidizing them through insurance premiums, prescription drug costs and taxes WAS A REPUBLICAN IDEA.
When all this is taken into consideration, one doesn't have to wonder what's really behind this dustup with Obamacare and the Republican's never ending war on so-called entitlement cuts, especially when you consider what one of their most famous political strategists revealed decades ago.
While our senators and congressmen/women hold their negotiations to avert a global crisis, let us NEVER forget these words:
"You start out in 1954 by saying, 'N___r, n__r, n__r.' By 1968 you can’t say 'n__r'—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh,'forced busing, states’ rights,' and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.… 'We want to cut this,' is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “N__r, n___r.”

So as the drama unfolds, and we get closer and closer to D-Day, do not EVER forget the moral bankruptcy of the TeaGOP. Do not forget what animates and compels them, okay? Remember the Confederate Flags, birth certificates, pictures of apes, and watermelons on the White House lawn. Remember the "
We will not be disrespected," and the "
47 %" quotes.
Leopards and spots, ladies and gents.
These people will never change which is why it is imperative that we get out the vote in 2014 so we can crush them into oblivion.
