This smells fishy. The National Parks Service is up to no good!
Truth be told, Darrell Issa will stop at nothing to make a headline, even if it does absolutely nothing to address pressing issues like unemployment.
First Issa loves to do investigations.
Now he's in love with subpoenas.
And he believes the National Parks Service is up to no good apparently:

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa subpoenaed the National Park Service Wednesday for documents dealing with its handling of the government shutdown and the budget cuts from sequestration.
The California Republican asked that the documents be turned over to the committee by Oct. 30.
"During both sequestration and the current government shutdown, reports have alleged the Park Service directed employees to make the budget setbacks as visible and painful as possible," the Oversight committee said in a statement.
Issa and other GOP members on Wednesday accused National Park Service Director Jonathan Jarvis of going overboard in barricading of the 401 national monuments and parks. They also accused Jarvis of fostering a hostile environment at the parks.

WASHINGTON – Today, House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., today issued a subpoena to National Park Service Director Jonathan Jarvis for documents related to the Park Service’s budget strategy during sequestration.
The subpoena was issued during a joint hearing on the Park Service’s decision to barricade open-air memorials, including the World War II Memorial, to visitors and veterans during the government shutdown. During both sequestration and the current government shutdown, reports have alleged the Park Service directed employees to make the budget setbacks as visible and painful as possible.
“After months of waiting, it is clear that Director Jarvis’s promise to deliver hundreds of pages of documents to this Committee is meaningless,” Chairman Issa said in a statement. “It is unfortunate that Director Jarvis has left us with no other option but to issue a subpoena.”
The subpoena requests to all documents to be provided by October 30, 2013. The documents in question were originally requested on March 27, 2013 before a Committee hearing in April on the Park Service’s strategy to implement budget cuts mandated by sequestration. On October 15, 2013, Chairman Issa and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, sent a letter to Director Jarvis which called the department’s actions seemingly “ad-hoc, inconsistent, and without sensible guidance to states, local communities, and the public at large.”
Let's see what Congressman Issa has investigated:
1) Fast & Furious "Scandal"
2) Benghazi "Scandal"
3) IRS "Scandal"
And now the NATIONAL PARKS SERVICE!
Furthermore, Issa called for the Park Service Chief to resign:

The head of the National Park Service should step down over his handling of the government shutdown, House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa told POLITICO on Wednesday.
“Three strikes and you should be out,” Issa (R-Calif.) said after a five-hour hearing in which he and other Republicans lambasted park service Director Jonathan Jarvis for closing monuments on the National Mall, as well as the agency’s earlier handling of the sequester and its decision to let Occupy Wall Street protesters camp out on federal land. “He blew it on sequestration. He blew it on Occupy, and now he admits he doesn’t even think it was his responsibility to plan to mitigate [the shutdown’s harm].”
Asked if he thinks Jarvis should resign, Issa said: “Yes, I believe he should resign. But the better term probably is I think he should retire because he no longer serves the public in their interest.”
No Issa, you should resign because you are no longer serving the public in their interest.
