Usually I would let the vivacious and talented Bruinkid handle a story like this. But well, it's just too funny.
Jon Stewart took to song again on Thursday, with a choir backing him in a chorus of “go f*ck yourselves” to media outlets insistent on holding him and the Daily Show‘s jibes up as a symbol of failure for the Affordable Care Act.
“People, I am here to say that the jokes we do on this program seem to accomplish very little,” Stewart said, which the choir echoed by saying, “They don’t do d*ck.”
While, on a good day, his show may provide catharsis or perspective, Stewart argued, most of the issues they complain about never change.
In defense of Jon's ability to change anything, there was one moment in time where his righteous umbrage actually did make a difference. It was when Stewart spent the entirety of his last show for 2010 railing against the failure to pass the Bill to Aid 9-11 First Responders.

Did the bill pledging federal funds for the health care of 9/11 responders become law in the waning hours of the 111th Congress only because a comedian took it up as a personal cause?

Mr. Stewart declined to comment on the passage of the bill.
And does that make that comedian, Jon Stewart — despite all his protestations that what he does has nothing to do with journalism — the modern-day equivalent of Edward R. Murrow?
Certainly many supporters, including New York’s two senators, as well as Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, played critical roles in turning around what looked like a hopeless situation after a filibuster by Republican senators on Dec. 10 seemed to derail the bill.
“I don’t even know if there was a deal, to be honest with you, before his show,” said Kenny Specht, the founder of the New York City Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation, who was interviewed by Mr. Stewart on Dec. 16. Mr. Specht said in an interview, “I’ll forever be indebted to Jon because of what he did.”
So in all fairness, there was that one time that the Daily Show actually made a difference and moved legislation forward. And there was the time the Racist Republican admitted during a Daily Show interview that Voter ID's were really about keeping "Lazy Blacks" from their Constitutional Rights. Really what Stewart does is point out how ridiculousy pathetic so called "actual journalist" have done their job.
The single most important thing Jon Stewart has done, has been to prove just how badly the Mainstream Media SUCKS. In fact, he told them that directly to their faces on CNN's Crossfire.
Stewart: Stop Hurting America
For that alone, he deserves our eternal thanks and appreciation.
