Joe Marshall will present a program on his latest book. Mr. Marshall was born and raised on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation and is an enrolled member of the Sicangu Lakota tribe. Because he was raised in a traditional Lakota household by his maternal grandparents, his first language is Lakota. In that environment he also learned the ancient tradition of oral storytelling.
His books are available on Amazon, if you are not able to hear him speak: Returning to the Lakota Way: Old Values to Save a Modern World, The Journey of Crazy Horse: A Lakota History by Joseph M. Marshall III (Sep 27, 2005), The Lakota Way of Strength and Courage: Lessons in Resilience from the Bow and Arrow by Joseph M. Marshall II, Lakota Way: Native American Wisdom on Ethics and Character 2014 Wall Calendar by Joe Marshall and Jim Yellowhawk (Jul 15, 2013)
