For any of you who have been reading my regular Darrell Issa diaries, you'll note that I continue to reference his Democratic challenger, Dave Peiser, and his campaign website.  I do so to get everyone involved and fired up.

If you live in CA-49 or nearby and want to meet Peiser, thanks to tomorrow's meeting at the Lake San Marcos Democratic Club, you will get the chance to do so.

There are also other Democratic candidates showing up at the meeting, including James Kimber who is challenging Duncan D. Hunter in CA-50 and Olga Diaz who is running to be Mayor of Escondido so you can have the chance to meet them as well.

The November meeting of the Lake San Marcos Democratic Club will take place on Saturday November 9 at 1:00pm (social time 12:30pm). We will be a year away from the 2014 elections so we are inviting three Democratic candidates contesting critical elections next year.

Olga Diaz is running for the Mayor of City of Escondido. She is the first Democratic councilwoman of Escondido. She has worked successfully with the majority and brought about some welcome changes at the city council.

James Kimber is contesting the 50th district congressional seat, and will challenge Congressman Duncan Hunter. James is a Health Care Professional, and has served in US Navy.

Dave Peiser will be running in the 49th Congressional district and seeks to unseat Congressman Darrell Issa. Dave is a lifelong Democrat who owns an IT Consulting firm that services small business customers in North San Diego County. He is also very active in the community. This offers us an opportunity to familiarize ourselves with these three candidates and their platforms.

The meeting will be held at Lake San Marcos Pavilion, 1105 La Bonita Dr., San Marcos, CA 92078-5221. Please check Lake San Marcos Democratic Club Newsletter for detailed directions to the meeting place, or call (760) 744-9233; Also check our website at

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
