Magnus Carlsen won a 2nd victory in the World Chess Championship over Vishwanath Anand, finding a way to win in a drawish looking rook and pawn ending.
It's looking like Anand is getting tired and making mistakes into the fourth hour of play.
Anand played the white side of a Ruy Lopez and was building pressure against Carlsen's king side but then traded his most active minor pieces to reach an ending with a slight disadvantage. Carlsen is very much in his element in endings with a small advantage.
Carlsen is now leading 4-2 after wins in games 5 and 6 and draws in games 1-4. (a full point for winning, a half point to each player for a draw, 0 for a loss)
The match is scheduled for 12 games but the first player to get to 6.5 points wins it even if scheduled games remain to be played.
