2013 was a very tough year for me. It was wonderful that in January that my second grand baby was born and I got to go out and visit.(she was healthy even tho Dr.s were afraid) What a wonderful and loving experience. I came home from that visit and within 2 weeks my mom died from the agonizing result of Alzheimer's Disease. I had cared for my mom at my home for 8 years but in the end she was in a home, I spent her last day in that home with her. She died not even 3 minutes after I left. Not even 2 months....hubby got real sick from osteomilytis and was hospitalized and had emergency surgery.
I spent the next 3 months tendinding his pic line and doing everything I could to keep him alive.
2 surgeries later all seemed well

he could squeeze my hand, he went to DD to get my coffee and bring it to work for me...everything was great. He just had a great Dr.'s visit that told him all was fine. On Thursday the surgeon was going to release him back work.
But this was Wednesday..I was off from work, had just gotten the new Stephan King novel and told him I was going to read.
What and when happened next I don't know
Walked out of the backroom after spending time reading and looked at my dear sweet hubby and knew he had passed.
Called 911
Got the dogs out
Started CPR
Cops arrived
Paramedics arrived
house turned upside down
Cops were great
ER doctor not so
Social services were consoling
I was in shock
made necessary calls
I still do not know what he died from
that was almost 2 months ago
Cobra Health Insurance just sent me a letter stating that my coverage is expiring...what BS
I have already applied for insurance thru the NYS exchange and will be saving 310.00 a month for better coverage
I am not in a good place right now
but I do know that next year will be better
because of all of you
that have kept me sane

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
