The most monied opponents to Obamacare are
just ghouls. Of the $9.7 million spent in 2013 against Obamacare, this is where it's almost all gone.
The vast majority of the spending (nearly $9.4 million) has been directed at areas where between 15 and 30 percent of the population is uninsured. It's all according to a useful interactive map of all the spending from Kantar Media Intelligence/CMAG designed by Harley Ellenberger.
Spending is also high in the states where Republicans think they might be able to pick off a Democratic senator or are in heated battle to retain one in 2014: North Carolina, Kentucky and Arkansas. But the point remains that they want to keep the uninsured out of the system. It's the only way they can keep winning beyond 2014. Remember
Ronald Hudson of Kentucky? He's the guy who declared "I believe I’m going to be a Democrat" when he found out he's finally going to get insurance. That is their biggest nightmare, so now it's a desperate battle to keep that from happening in more red states.
