And Pat Robertson still has his boarding pass to that place they call Hell.

In response to a viewer who asked if her gay nephew needed to pray for himself to be helped, Robertson recalled that homosexuality was considered to be a personality disorder by the American Psychiatric Association until 1973.

A few years ago the psychiatrists, the psychologists used to say that homosexuality was a mental illness,” the TV preacher remarked. “Now, the Supreme Court has said that it is a protected right.”
“So what’s he going to pray about? Is he going to say something is wrong and he’s unhappy? And if he’s unhappy and realizes he is doing something that makes him miserable, you might help him.”

Robertson said that the solution was to show the gay nephew the Bible because “the Bible is explicit” that homosexuality is a sin.

So a few years ago probably around 2010 or 1973 homosexuality was no longer classified as a mental illness by the APA, but Pat Robertson still believes that the APA made a mistake and on the declassification of that dreaded sin in his mind, but Robertson still believes that the earth is flat and he could fall off at any time(fingers crossed).

Now the ever so with tolerant (with a capital FU) Pat Robertson is saying that he and God approve of sex change operations, oh happy day. So, if you are a girl trapped in a boys body or a boy trapped in a girls body then you are okey dokey, however if you are born gay then...wait let me read the entire bible again, give me a few minutes..please.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
