You know Jim (Rep. Jim Jordan), I think we've got something here. The FBI is really pissing us off. We know that. We go after them, boy, our campaign contributions would be golden.
I gotta hand it to you, the IRS "investigation" or whatever Darrell Issa likes to see it as, has been quite the witch hunt in all the many months of "information unfolding. You might already know the obvious that as Issa has continued to be the Chairman of the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee there is no real investigation of the IRS going on: More of a way to politicize what was a systematic problem into a scandal which it's not.
This time around, I have to break it to you, out of all the things going on that involve anything related to the IRS and its "problems," I could have never suspected that an agency like the FBI would ever be contacted by Issa or anyone on his committee.
But it has.

Reps. Darrell Issa and Jim Jordan are demanding information from the FBI about alleged IRS targeting of tax-exempt groups, especially a group called True The Vote, and accuse the FBI and Department of Justice of obstructing their House committee’s investigation.
In a letter sent Monday to FBI Director James Comey, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman and subcommittee chairman set a Dec. 16 deadline for the FBI to respond to a September request for information about investigations into the IRS actions and for any communications between any DOJ or FBI staff regarding the committee’s request.
The original issue stems from a May inspector general’s report that the IRS targeted groups applying for tax-exempt status based on their political beliefs. In September, Issa (R-Calif.) and Jordan (R-Ohio) requested information from the FBI about its investigations into the IRS report, and especially any contact the FBI had with the founder of True The Vote, a group that claims to fight election fraud and has decried persecution by the IRS, but which a judge separately ruled in 2012 is an unregistered political group and not a nonprofit.

It appears that both Issa and Jordan have had problems in getting transparency from the FBI and even a meeting with representatives and have gone to the point where they've gone so far as saying the FBI and Department of Justice are committing a crime by obstructing their investigation.
Really Issa? Really?

The lawmakers say the sequence of events suggest that DOJ employees “inappropriately interfered and prevented” the meeting from occurring.
“The department’s tactics have impeded a congressional investigation and interfered with the committee’s access to documents and information. Obstructing a congressional investigation is a crime,” the lawmakers wrote. “As the director of the FBI, we trust that you will assist the committee in uncovering all the facts surrounding these actions.”
Issa and Jordan write to Comey that if they don’t receive the information they are seeking by Dec. 16, they will have to consider “the use of compulsory process to obtain them.”
Looks like according to the old fart from CNN, Lou Dobbs, that Darrell Issa is issuing a subpoena to the FBI. WOW. A subpoena to the FBI?
But of course, Dobbs himself is arguing that Issa has guts when it comes to going after the FBI and IRS in this case. Given this is on Fox News though, you obviously know where this is going.
