Part of my health care is covered by Medi-Cal, including all my medical transport needs (I am a triple amputee on dialysis. Medi-Cal has a ridiculous rule that I can only do one medical transport per day. I am on dialysis 3 days a week and have to visit a wound clinic every tuesday. So I have to try to fit in my doctors (primary physician, nephrologist, dermatologist, cardiologist, vascular surgeon) on Thursdays, which is nearly impossible. Solution below the fold.
Obviously the one trip per day rule has to have exceptions for dialysis and daily treatments (I had hyperbaric treatments every day all summer, had to use city bus).
In 2014 I want to work to get the law changed, but need to find a champion in our state legislature. If you know anyone who can help please mention in comments. Thanks!
