Yes, the Republican debt limit hostage takers and ransom demanders are gearing up for more fun times after the New Year.
They are not sure yet exactly what they want - just like last time they put the country and its citizens and the world economy through this exercise- but they will figure it all out after some "retreats" after the holiday.
Paul Ryan Says GOP Wants Ransom For Another Debt Ceiling Hostage
WASHINGTON -- The GOP wants concessions from Democrats in exchange for not allowing the U.S. to default on its debts this spring, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said on Fox News Sunday.
"We as a caucus -- along with our Senate counterparts -- are going to meet and discuss what it is we’re going to want out of the debt limit," Ryan said. “We don’t want nothing out of this debt limit. We’re going to decide what it is we’re going to accomplish out of this debt limit fight.”
Who's going to tell them that they are going to get the same thing we all get out of raising the debt ceiling - an economy that continues to function without crashing and burning not just our, but a great portion of the world's economy.
The moment this current budget is passed, if it is, I suggest that the President and the Dems put the Republicans on notice right now that this game of theirs was played out last time and the entire country and the world is onto them and their ridiculous, idiotic, moronic and unpatriotic brinksmanship.
And look! It's the "brains" of the Republican Congress making this announcement. In my household, we equate his brilliance among his peers as being directly akin to the leadership of Moe in the Three Stooges - it's all relative.
Of course, the Republicans signing onto this tired game of lemming leaping will provide the greatest gift imaginable to Democrats going into the midterms. If I didn't think that they are actually stupid enough to crash the economy out of the hubris and political grandstanding of their league of Tea Party Dead Enders I would encourage them to "please proceed".
