I scan Redstate occasionally when a big news story breaks to gauge their interpretation. For a RWNJ website, the comments are atypical - they actually write complete sentences and stay civil for the most part. It's a bit disconcerting and creepy when they start praying about politics though.
I've watched their comments dwindle in number since the last election. Some front page diaries get 0 comments, most get fewer than 20. Comments generally jump for their "Dear Leader" but even he gets fewer comments nowadays. And the comments section is typically the same users posting multiple times. I asked myself if they were losing their readership. Unfortunately, they don't post stats on users like we do on Dkos.
Today I saw an interesting line in an Erick Erickson diary.
One day, should I ever have the money to buy back the joint, I’m going to put a map on the front page of RedState that will make it easy for you to track all the candidates we are supporting. For now, though, I’m going to begin rolling out the list.
From their "Dear Leader's" diary, it seems like Redstate is literally in the red now. I'll need those magic Hollywood eyedrops to shed tears at the funeral.
