Sorry for the long headline, but there is no other way to undersell this story.
St. Petersburg, FL -- A Republican Florida House candidate says the U.S. Secret Service paid him a visit after he called for President Obama to be hanged.
Joshua Black also tells 10 News he's not dropping out of the District 68 race, even though Gov. Rick Scott and other Republicans are calling on him to quit.
Black, however, did resign from a liaison position with the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee on Tuesday.
The thing is, the farther to the nutty these Republicans go, the more they force the main of their party to acknowledge them, even to just rebuke them and point out that things are a mess.
Joshua Black's comments on President @BarackObama are outrageous. (1/2)— Rick Scott (@FLGovScott) January 21, 2014
What gets better is that as the twitter feed grows, more of the wingers come out of the woodwork, denouncing RICK SCOTT's rebuke and offering legal analysis via twitter that 'this is the penalty' and so on.
Black explained it's his opinion the President has committed multiple crimes and if he's tried and convicted, Obama should be killed. The next generation of state legislators are giving people fodder on a daily basis.
"I want to see all elected officials face the standard that everyone else faces. They should not be able to write a law and have us face it and then not have them face it," Black said.
