So I decided to quit my job at Smithfields ,where I would cut meat for 12 hours a day 6 days a week .I miss the great folks i worked with they were some of the hardest working people i have ever known ,many of them were Hispanic and treated me as one of their family but I guess i was to old or maybe to lazy cause physically I was having a hard time with the hours and speed of production. My right hand was the biggest problem>I had two fingers that would get locked in a bent position over night and were very painful to "unlock" in the morning. As I would look around at my co-workers many of them had fingers that were deformed after years of work on the conveyor .I just got to the point that the money wasn't worth it and the company never cared about its workers and I couldn't see any point in staying. I wish my at work family all the best and I will miss them.
