I just read this in the Washington Post.
All I could think about was George Orwell's 1984 and think to myself WOW, Big Brother is here to stay!
So Let me get this straight.
When I use my smart phone to make calls, send texts or play games, the NSA is watching.
When I use my computer to send emails, the NSA is watching.
When I surf the web, everyone is watching.
And now when I watch TV, politicians are watching?
Hmmm, I bet if I lived off the grid in Alaska, there would still be someone watching.
Wow, there really is no privacy anymore. Look how far we've come!
We're not far if not already there from the Technology of Orwell's Big Brother. And we already know that it will be abused because it already has been abused in the past.
So where does that leave us? Mindless drones being controlled by the 1%?
They wiggle the allure of joining their ranks but it's just an illusion whose sole purpose is to keep us working for them?
Maybe I'm just getting cynical in my old age, but come on now, inserting political ads on my DVR? Is the government going to make them tell you that they are now going to be doing this? Or they just going to do it and leave it to the media to let people know what is going on?
Well, I was considering changing to Dish Network or Direct TV, but that won't happen now.
I have to wonder. Does this bother anyone else as much as it bothers me?
