After gifting Democrats senate seats in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Missouri, and Nevada—enough to cost Republicans control of the Senate—teabagger groups are now hard at work gift-wrapping Georgia for us.
The pretentiously named "Madison Project's" biggest score was being the first Tea Party group to endorse Ted Cruz down in Texas, at a time when he was an afterthought in the GOP primary. You'd think they'd be embarrassed about that, but no, they're proud of it! And now, bless 'em, they're engaging in Georgia.
Throughout this election cycle we have looked far and wide to find fresh conservative patriots who are running for Congress to challenge the status quo in both parties. But sometimes the biggest champion is right under our noses. In the case of the U.S. Senate race in Georgia, we have a man who has not only talked a good conservative game during the primaries, he has fought for us relentlessly like no other U.S. House member over the past seven years.
His name is Dr. Paul Broun, and he deserves our support.
If you think that evolution and the Big Bang theory are "
lies straight from the pit of hell," then you're in luck! Broun is right under your nose. And if he's not there, he's sitting on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, because that's how Republicans roll.
You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I’ve found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth. I don’t believe that the earth’s but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible says.
That's some serious
science! And he's also a Constitutional and Biblical scholar.
Our Constitution was written by men that believed that! And in fact, the Constitution’s written on Biblical principles — in fact, the three branches of government come right from Isaiah, Isaiah 33:22, go look it up!
Good idea. I'll go
look it up!
For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us.
Hmm. Actually, that sounds like the
monarchy the Founding Fathers rebelled against. Our guys decided on
independent branches of government. Slight difference. But I digress.
At this point, you must be thinking, "He can't be all that crazy, I mean, it's not like he voted for Allen West for Speaker of the House, right?" Um. Sorry, he did.
So as you can imagine, the GOP establishment is freaking out, because Todd Akin.
[E]stablishment Republicans—or whatever you want to call the collection of strategists, donors, and leaders who value retaking the Senate above all else—aren't forgetting what lies beneath. Because they know two things about Georgia's Senate race: Paul Broun can win the party's nomination, and if he does, the GOP will be saddled with its next Todd Akin.
But nevermind those assholes who want to win elections. The Madison Project is all-in for Broun, and it won't be long before their allies fall in line.
