Dear Mr. Melvin,
Maybe you can explain to me why you feel you can speak about something if you haven't read it. According to the Arizona Daily Star, you are quoted as having been "exposed" to the Common Core Standards. This tells me that someone told you something about them that you took as truth, and abdicated your responsibility to actually read them yourself, especially if you're going to try to repeal them. Were a student of mine to try and do this, he would fail, similarly to your state-wide public failure. Good Lord, have you read the comments in the AZ Daily Star? I'm not the only state resident sneering at you.

If you have not read these standards yourself, then you, sir, are a hack and a fool.
Please tell me that you didn't really say that the math standards were fuzzy because they included letters instead of numbers; anyone who has had any success in school at all sees that comment as willfully ignorant and fatuous. Next you're going to tell me that algebra is a terrorist plot because it was developed in the Middle East.
Please tell me that you're not assuming that pornography is part of the standards because someone told you The Bluest Eye was being read somewhere in the state. It would be more willful stupidity on your part to take an anecdote and apply it fallaciously to an entire state curriculum.
Of course, I'm sure that you're simply taking your recessive and regressive agenda and pushing it wherever you think you can gain a toe-hold, but your stupidity is interfering with my ability to do my job, and thus I take up pen and write to you to request that you get your cranium out of your rectum, and learn how to do your job properly before you try and hamstring mine.
GO READ THE COMMON CORE. That way, the next time you open your mouth, we won't see your foot in it.
With much derision and contempt, and far less respect,
{Darwinita}
Yes, I did sign my real name when I sent this real e-mail to this real asshole.
