Arizona Hiding Hate Behind Jesus to discriminate against those who don't live, look or love like Christians:
When one contemplates how divisive America remains after centuries of grappling with diversity, its time to consider separating once and for all for the betterment of all. Right and left, Red and Blue have consistently demonstrated America cannot get alone as one nation, and America never will.
The bitterness between the Conservative on the Right and the Live and Let Live on the Left will persist in delivering nothing but misery for both sides. I was convinced, when the President of the United States was referred to as a subhuman mongrel in the same week the LGBT community face being legally ostracized, based on the word God. Perhaps the very concept of America was just too good to be true.
Honestly, no one should have to grin and bare the presence of another if the very existence of someone different causes them pain and discomfort. On the other hand, no one should every feel they're only being tolerated for business and good public relations. Simply being tolerated is insulting. People by nature, are most happy when they live in environments of inclusion and acceptance.
How many more generations will suffer the indignity of wondering if an extended wait time in a restaurant is due to a busy staff or a discriminating staff. How would one know if they were passed over for a job because they just didn't measure up or they just didn't fit the mold.
Why the hell, would anybody want to live in a space where laws rooted in religious intolerance are routinely considered to make the lives of different experiences a living hell. Why would anyone want to live in a space where special laws had to be passed to protect them from others who have serious issues with their right to be themselves? Why would anyone want to live in a space where they've never been considered an equal or morally fit and never will be? Why would anyone want to live a life, forever fighting to be understood and treated fairly and respectfully.
With no hard feelings, no regrets, no looking back, the two very different Americas should just move on. Each, going its separate ways to spaces and places where pursuing their respective lives, liberty and happiness, won't be met with rejection and discrimination by those, convinced " God" entrusted them to enforce the God's rules.
Bottom line: You don't have as much time as you think to change your ways or change your ways of cohabiting. At the rate people are populating the planet earth, you'll soon run out of enough space and resources to avoid one another. When clean air and fresh water become an issue, it will only exacerbate the ongoing diversity crisis.
While this solution is by no means an original concept, its serious consideration is way overdue.
