I've been slogging through some tedious stuff at work and needed a break. So while taking said break popped over to Talking Points Memo and what to my wondering eyes did appear but good old 'Chele Bachmann stirring up fear.
Michele Bachmann is deeply disappointed with the American Jewish community for supporting President Barack Obama, whose policies she believes will reduce Israel to "rubble."
Michele Bachmann Is Disappointed That American Jews 'Sold Out' By Supporting Obama
For the love of cheese, she's determined to wrap up her term with her freak flag on full display.
"The Jewish community gave him their votes, their support, their financial support and as recently as last week, 48 Jewish donors who are big contributors to the president wrote a letter to the Democrat senators in the U.S. Senate to tell them to not advance sanctions against Iran. This is clearly against Israel’s best interest," Bachmann told Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, as quoted by Right Wing Watch.
Bachmann also chided organizations like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which boosted Obama by backing off its push for a swift vote on new sanctions.
"What has been shocking has been seeing and observing Jewish organizations who it appears have made it their priority to support the political priority and the political ambitions of the President over the best interests of Israel," she added. "So in some respects, they sold out Israel."
Consistent with the know it all and paternalistic ( maternalistic?) approach the right takes on everything about which they know nothing, 'Chele knows better than actual Jewish people how they should vote, who they should support etc. Those poor hoodwinked Jewish people don't know what's good for them like this good evangelical Christian does.
I'm assuming her angst has everything to do with the second coming of Jesus (doesn't that movie hit theaters this week?) and the role Israel supposedly plays in that. Thing is, don't she and her pals need Israel to be destroyed for the whole Revelations thing to play out? I get confused but she seems to work against her own professed end game. She's been convinced Obama's the anti-Christ which would be a good thing right since I believe that is also necessary in the chain of events to bring on the pocky-lips? So why so sad 'Chele?
I guess this must be Jewish guilt or something like it was white guilt that got Barack Obama elected. Why are Republicans always so ready to tell everyone else they don't know what's good for them? Poor people: you've been deluded by the left. Black / brown / non-white people....women....fill in the blank.
No one knows what's good for anyone except straight white Christian people.
Why won't any of us just listen to them and stare into the crazy eyes of Michele Bachman for Pete's sake?! Can't imagine.
