The FOX Network is currently airing the award-winning, 1980 series entitled "Cosmos" based on the writings of Professor Carl Sagan. Prof. Sagan skillfully illustrates complex subjects like astronomy and cosmology in a convincing but straightforward manner that even those without a science background can comprehend.
Many topics covered in this series stand in direct contradiction to biblical teachings found in the Book of Genesis. Without intending to do so, Cosmos completely annihilates the notion of a "young" Earth or "6-day creation." One cannot avoid the realization that the universe, OUR universe, dwarfs any notion of a "God" and in perspective, makes God's favorite creation, man, seem puny and insignificant by comparison.
My question is why would the FOX network, producer of FOX News, take the risk of alienating a large number of its loyal viewers, particularly the ones who claim that their religious freedoms are under attack; a claim that FOX News is so eager to blast into the echo chamber.
