More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

decent wages don't eliminate jobs. Republicans eliminate jobs; and workers, and prospects, and then excuse it all and call for more austerity. there is no end to their ignorant, arrogant avarice. only political dinosaurs support their treachery.

so that for the first time this year, I can imagine that summer and our sun might actually reverse course and return.

Even though I'm a scientific humanist, I do sort of understand the mindset of those who don't believe in science. After this unusually cold, snowy, and oppressive winter, part of me began to suspect that our excessive pollution, and right-wing "shenanigans" had either  displeased the "gods" to such an extent, or had somehow damaged gravity and we were drifting off into space to never see spring and sunny days again.

So just in case, I started to build a little alter to the sun in the forest behind my house to pray for planetary forgiveness, and a return to a proper orbit. All the other  dogs, in the neighborhood, joined me in  "howling at the setting and new rising sun" all this last month asking for forgiveness, and for it to return.

And, now today, that it is so sunny and it looks like the Sun is "coming back" I'm sort of in a pickle, because now I don't know which theory is true.

By Occam's Razor, praying to my altar is a lot simpler than reading all of WeatherDude's and FishOutOfWater's "alternative theories" about climate and weather.

I guess I should label this comment "community" because from the point of view of the average Kossack, it may not matter as long as we have "all the bases" covered.

Cheers, I hope the rest of you are  having a sunny day. If not, send me a note and I'll send you the design of my Solar Temple and we can start a back up religion called "Just In Casers," or  "Solar Dawgs." It's actually great fun too.

    Ahhhwoooo!

The stupider you are, the stupider you don't think you are.
