This is pretty simple. 28 31 U.S. Senators (D+I) have announced they're joining the #Up4Climate talkathon tonight. There are 27 24 Democrats and 45 Republicans who have not.
I've made a Twitter list of the Democrats and Independents signed on to the #Up4Climate effort: @climatebrad/up4climate. Below the fold is the full listing of the Senators on the list and off. If your Senators are participating, thank them. If not, give them a call or tweet.
Confirmed #Up4Climate Participants: Call and Tweet to Thank!
Democratic Senators NOT Confirmed #Up4Climate: Call and Tweet
All these senators need is a push from their constituents to do the right thing. They know the science, they know the damage climate pollution has already done to their states, they know what risks their children face.
GOP Senators Not #Up4Climate: Call and Tweet
Even though the Republican Party is beholden to the Koch brothers and the fossil-fuel industry, senators like John McCain and Lindsay Graham have spoken out in the past about the need for strong action. They know the truth, no matter what the GOP paymasters want them to say and vote. This is a chance to stand up for their constituents, their children, and their country.
