Maybe Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell should stop trying to brag about how big his gun is. Consider our first piece of evidence, his Dukakis-in-a-tank moment while holding a rifle over his head at CPAC last week:
And let's not forget our
second piece of evidence, his campaign's ham-fisted attempt to attack his Democratic opponent Allison Lundergan Grimes for tweeting this picture in an invitation to him to go shooting:
And finally,
the latest piece of evidence, the way he answered (actually, refused to answer) a question about whether or not he owns a gun:
Does Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell own a gun? The McConnell campaign doesn't want to talk about it, and neither does McConnell's staff in the Senate. [...]
"Of course Sen. McConnell has shot a gun but as a matter of principle he's not interested in helping the left bully people into revealing what protection they may keep in their own homes," McConnell campaign spokesman Allison Moore emailed in a statement to the Washington Examiner.
I'm not sure who is dumber,
The Washington Examiner for caring about whether Mr. Turtle owns a gun, or the turtle himself for going on stage looking like an idiot with that gun without even being able to answer the simple question of whether he owns one. But whichever it is, one thing is obvious: Mitch needs to stop shooting off about guns.
