I used to go to the bar 5 days a week back in the day (read early 1990s), and have not been back since. I do not know if that is because I quit drinking, or because i started to meet people exclusively via the Intertubez, or a combination of both....but the one thing I miss about the bar scene is the music.
I was never a dancer. I dance like a.....well, take it from me, I do not dance well. but nothing gets to me like the loud pounding sound of dance music on the dance floor.
I assume that these same songs that I grew up with in the early 90s in the gay bars were played in the heterosexual bars, but as I never went to any.... I cannot say for sure.
So, please join with me in getting a dance groove on and having a good time.
*I know the Dead Milkmen song came out in 87 but it transcends the test of time.
