Last week, Joe Carr, the Tea Party candidate in Tennessee kicked off his new fundraising drive with an interesting twist:  He's giving away a spanking new gun.

As you may know, Beretta is coming to Tennessee, and I want to celebrate their new manufacturing facility in Tennessee by giving one lucky supporter a new Beretta 92a1.

Want a Beretta 92a1? Click here to sign up to win.

With this giveaway, I not only want to celebrate Beretta, but also our sacred 2nd Amendment rights.

I'm not going to sugar coat it- we're locked in a struggle with Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and the rest of the liberal elites in Washington for our 2nd Amendment rights.

That's why I decided to take the fight to them by introducing legislation in Tennessee to nullify any of Obama's unconstitutional gun grabbing laws. I even went on Al Sharpton's MSNBC show to defend my legislation and stand up for our 2nd Amendment rights.

Beretta-which currently has a manufacturing facility in the liberal stronghold of Maryland-saw firsthand just how crippling anti-gun laws can be. Their decision to build a new manufacturing facility in Tennessee is a testament to our state's pro-job environment and our strong defense of gun rights.

As a lifetime member of the NRA and Gun Owners of America, I have always promoted, protected and defended every law-abiding American's ability to keep and bear arms for personal safety, to defend their property, and to enjoy hunting and sporting.

As a Senator, I will continue to fight and defend the 2nd Amendment to protect our liberty in the event we ever find ourselves fighting against a tyrannical and intrusive government.

Please note:  Joe favors church in schools, is strongly anti-abortion, etc. so he just really wants an intrusive government that does what he wants, basically.

But it didn't take long before other Republicans realized that if the gun give-a-way was going, they had to get on it... and up the ante.

Today, Tom Tancredo brought out the big guns, literally, offering to one up Joe Carr's Tennessee wussy gun by offering out an AR-15.

I'm not sure you've entered?

Look, I'm trying to give away an brand new AR-15. If you're against freedom or don't want it, then don't enter the contest.

BUT, if you'd like to keep and maybe even exercise your 2nd Amendment rights, I'd encourage you to reconsider. Without your support -- first Colorado, then the rest of the nation, will fall prey to revisionist liberals like Michael Bloomberg and John Hickenlooper.

If they succeed, we'll all be stuck with sippy-cups and water-pistols.

ENTER here to win an AR-15. Partner with me to save our 2nd amendment rights.

-Tom

Sippy cups and water pistols!  Holy Cow!   But Tancredo continues by posting a personal note attached.  It'd be easy to think this is all some crazy fraud to make them look nuts, but nope, here's the link:  http://www.supporttomtancredo.com/...
Greetings Real Americans,

Ted Nugent here, with an important message for you: Barack Obama and his radical America-hating leftist goons are perilously close to taking away our guns and nullifying the Second Amendment.

We all better wake up and fight back together before it's too late! AND I need you to join me -- so I'm willing to give you some incentive...

How would you like a brand new AR-15 for free?

Barack Obama, Michael Bloomberg, Dianne Feinstein, and John Hickenlooper want nothing more than to ban the AR-15 rifle -- and all of our guns. Thankfully, there are a few Second Amendment champions left, like Tom Tancredo, who we can count on to the lead the fight to protect our guns and all of our constitutional liberties.

Tom Tancredo is running for Governor in one of the most anti-gun states in the union, so he urgently needs our help. That's why we're giving away a free AR-15 to a fellow gung-ho gun supporter.

Simply follow this link and enter to win a semi-automatic AR-15 -- then make a donation of $25 or more to help Tom keep our freedoms protected. The deadline to enter is Friday, March 21.

There's a very good reason I'm supporting Tom Tancredo in his gubernatorial campaign. Tom is relentless. As a congressman, he made waves in Washington by vehemently opposing President Bush's wasteful spending spree, amnesty for illegal immigrants, and of course, insane infringements to our sacred Second Amendment rights. Mark my words: we'll keep our guns if Tom wins this race.

But there's no getting around the anti-gun crusade that wishes to shut people like Tom and me up. Obama, Bloomberg, Feinstein, Hickenlooper, and their Hollywood cronies will spend millions of dollars to defeat Tom and elect a puppet that will kowtow to their anti-gun agenda. But I refuse to let them get away with it -- will you help me?

Stand with me and Tom Tancredo and fight for your sacred Second Amendment rights by joining our campaign's contest to win a semi-automatic AR-15.

We can't let the clowns in some "we the sheeple" Governor's Mansions and in the White House succeed in shredding our constitution and take away our guns. Tom Tancredo will fight for you, so stand with us today.

The contest ends on Friday, March 21, 2014. Please enter today!

Sincerely, American BloodBrothers,

No word on contest provisions in case you win and are a felon, or in a state that doesn't allow weapons, or if you're a 'sheeple'.   No plans, also, in case the person who wins any of these weapons commits a crime or sells it to someone who does.   I guess that's just not a possibility at all.

No word yet on when Mitch McConnell plans to offer a rocket launcher, but I hear the email is being prepped as we speak.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
