What was accomplished by Ray Jasper execution? Did it make anyone feel better? Did someone not go hungry because he no longer ate? Did his victim David Mendoza Alejandro magically get up from his grave and return to his family? What was accomplished? Justice? For whom? David is dead. For the family. Do they feel better today after Ray Jasper was killed? Do any death penalty supporter feel better now? Can you look at yourself in the mirror. A young man asked for mercy for empathy but you gave him none and none will be given you. He did not ask to be released from prison only for empathy. But he gave none to his victim you argue so you are no better than him. All have sinned but you still feel entitled to cast the first stone. Well, you say but his sin was bigger than your sin. According to whom? Who alive have never hurt anyone, have never scarred anyone, have never made a mistake. So now you can sit with a self righteousness smug face, holding your bible in your church and claim to follow Jesus, a man who taught forgiveness but you don't practice what you claim to believe. "One nation under God", do inner city black youth feel this is a country under God or is this just pretty words on paper. Why not just take God out of it and keep it real. Murder under the guise of law is still murder.
