Today's post will show what happens when environmental organizations with a bit of legal clout get involved.
The first round of newpaper ads was followed by Letters to the Editor, accompanied by a suitable illustration.
Then, just to drive the story home, three non-profits co-ordinated to spell it all out under the heading of the disappearing spit. That much of the community was already on tether hooks because of the announced increase in flood insurance rates no doubt helped to spread the word.
Now, in case there is any doubt, sustainablecoast.org, greenlaw.org and altamahariverkeeper.org have scheduled a community forum for the beginning of next week.
