Joni Ernst is trying to outdo Ann Coulter in her effort to win the Iowa Senate primary. In an upcoming ad, this is what she has to say:
"I grew up castrating hogs on an Iowa farm, so when I get to Washington, I'll know how to cut pork," Ernst, who is running for Senate, says in the ad.
"Washington's full of big spenders," Ernst says later in the ad. "Let's make 'em squeal."
And she'll add a touch of teabagging on top.
"My parents taught us to live within our means," Ernst says. "It's time to force Washington to do the same -- to cut wasteful spending, repeal Obamacare and balance the budget."
Mitt Romney has already endorsed Ernst and has sent out a fundraising letter on her behalf.
"As a mother, soldier and proven conservative, Joni has the kind of experience, skillset and discipline it will take to not only win this important seat, but to also take Iowa values to help turn around the mess in Washington," Romney wrote in the email.
If she wins, expect her to make Ted Cruz look like a choirboy.
By the way, I agree with her on spending. So let's see if she will agree with us that defense spending is way out of control and has to be reigned in. And let's see if she will agree with us that corporate welfare needs to be brought under control as well.
