On MSNBC's Ronan Farrow Daily on March 25, Ronan Farrow labelled Republican Senator from Illinois Mark Kirk as a hero for not campaigning against Democratic Senator Dick Durbin. Kirk made the decision so as not to damage the relationship between the two and to keep the political system from becoming more polarized.
Calling a Republican a hero sure isn't a sign of liberal bias, but NewsBusters made it one. Scott Whitlock writes:
Does anyone seriously believe that if the situations were reversed – a Democrat refusing to back his fellow party member in a race against a Republican – that Farrow would still use the "hero" label?
Scott, if that's all you've got to say about Farrow being nonpartisan and giving credit where credit is due, then we can never hope to please you.
