The developers of a Christian interactive video game to be called "Abraham" say they have been plagued by a "hail of fire and brimstone" as difficulty upon difficulty hampers the success of their game's start up...They believe they are being targeted by satan himself, according to the interviewer for Polygon...

http://www.polygon.com/...

They went to Kickstarter for funding, and were able to raise only $19,000 of their $100, 000 projected need. They state people and things they expected to happen keep "falling through" and they believe Satan himself fears their success.

They also are against "welfare"...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

knows that God is the only one who rains down fire and brimstone.
Your game SUCKS. Get over it.
Make a game in which Satan possessed characters pillage the cities of the Biblical Middle East, and bite off the foreskin of its male inhabitants, then you might have something worth investing in.

The next house I build will be a military industrial complex. It seems to be the only structure that is impervious to anything man, or nature, can throw at it.

Keep in mind, these people live in a mind set that is fundamentally rooted in a fantasy. They are absolutely convinced that their belief system represents reality, and are thus stunned when they discover the rest of the world really does not belief as they do, or want to support their idea. Think King Knute sitting on his throne as the tide rolls in and ignores his commands to stop advancing.

If only this would happen to the multi-million dollar huckster operations of the big churches that vacuum up the money of the gullible, as well! How many little old ladies bank accounts have they cleaned out over the years, just thinking of it makes me ill.

FWIW, I recently chipped in to a campaign on Kickstarter, but it was to raise money to fund a new version of the train simulator Trainz, by a software group out of Australia. That effort raised nearly 200 grand in a matter of six weeks or so.

And I eagerly look forward to the new edition of the simulation game by fourth quarter 2014. The current version is pretty awesome if you love trains. The new one will include major enhancements in the engine to make environments look even more real, including atmospheric effects, sound, and other aspects.

recording a new CD. It was done far ahead of schedule, came in well over their needed funds. The CD is great and started on its first day as #7 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

Ain't Satan at all, dudes-It's YOU...

I'm amazed they got as much as they did.

FWIW, the band and CD was The Dollyrots' Barefoot & Pregnant. I love that band!

  •  I watched some of the video. (0+ / 0-)

It showed what looked like graphics at least ten years out of date. Followed by two "boringest" dudes who don't look like people that have ever been gamers. I skipped actually listening to them.

I understand that you know its the bible, but dudes don't you know the first thing about selling a game requires a chick in a brass halter-top?
