In about a month I leave for Nepal, the Himalayan country between India and China. It looks small on the map but 27 million people are there.
It is most famous for Everest, the highest mountain on earth, but I am not a mountain climber. This is my sixth trip there. I usually go for ten weeks at a time, but this time I will be there for a year.
I am an RN and a University faculty member and I teach critical care nursing skills when I am there. To this point I have trained about 800 nurses in Nepal, and I will add to that number.
Before I go, my second book will be published. It is about medical care in Low Income Countries. the title is The Sacrament of the Goddess and you can get it on Amazon. It's a novel. I chose fiction because it pulls the reader in and keeps them going when they might otherwise quit.
