The 21st annual Seven Arrows Powwow will be held April 19-20 in the Student Union Jordan Ballroom. Grand Entry is at noon and 7 p.m. on Saturday, and noon on Sunday.
Drummers and dancers come to campus from all over the U.S. and Canada to compete, and thousands show up to watch them perform in full regalia. The event also showcases singing, storytelling and demonstrations, which help preserve the rich heritage and vibrant culture of Native Americans. Vendors sell everything from food to traditional crafts to original artwork.
Everyone is welcome. Bring the family. General Admission is $5; children under 12 are $3; and FREE for students with valid Boise State ID.
The Seven Arrows Powwow is hosted by Multicultural Student Services, Red River Powwow, MLK Human Rights Committee, and Intertribal Native Council of Boise State University. For more information call Multicultural Student Services at (208) 426-5950.
