OK, so here we got Tea Party champion Ted Cruz (R-TX) explaining why Secretary of State John Kerry should resign for suggesting that the apartheid state of Israel, risks becoming a shunned apartheid state, because of the apartheid practices it has regularly and historically engaged in. And they also have a secret nuclear weapons program, Israel does. I think they offered nukes to apartheid South Africa in the 70's.
“Secretary Kerry has long experience in foreign policy and he understands that words matter,” the Texas Republican said on the Senate floor. “Apartheid is inextricably associated with one of the worst examples of state-sponsored discrimination in history. … There is no place for this word in the context of the state of Israel.”
So, I think it would be safe to say the the State of Israel engages in regular "worst case" examples of state-sponsored discrimination. Its still early 2014, lets check in on this to be sure:
Human Rights Watch investigated seven incidents between January 2 and March 1, in which Israeli forces shot civilians in the vicinity of the fence. Four were killed, including a high school student on a picnic and a woman with an intellectual disability who was lost. Five others were wounded, including two journalists and two demonstrators planting olive trees, none of whom posed a threat to the soldiers or others. The Israeli military has not claimed that any of the victims in the seven cases were engaged in military operations or that armed groups were in the area when the shooting occurred.
