Release the Biden
The headline of the article making its way around Twitter just now:

Did Joe Biden Just Leak A Secret Government Plan To Stop Deportations

You can't make this stuff up, folks. This is The Biden.

Remember in March when it was announced that the White House will be conducting a review of the deportation policies?  Since then, there has been speculation over what exactly that will entail, from piecemeal little stuff to wholesale changes.

Well. Enter The Biden:

Earlier today in Miami, he either made a major gaffe, or unwittingly announced what that policy is going to be

The article goes on to list several pros and cons about whether or not it's a true thing.

Pro: He's done it before--see marriage equality.

Con:  The administration has explicitly said they can't do that.

Pro:  The administration has a history of saying "we can't" and then changing its mind

Con:  The administration also thinks their immigration policy is gentler than it is.

So, this may be nothing--a "typical Biden."  But when I saw this, Ezra Klein and Matt Yglesias picked it up quick. Meaning it's going around Twitter right now, and will soon be a thing.

Which means that perhaps as early as Monday, Jay Carney will have to comment on it, or The Biden may have to go out on a "clarifying tour".

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
