Having shelter is a basic human need.  As mentioned in peregrine kate's diary, Fineena is currently in a motel, without her dogs, her things, or certainty for the future.  She has a chance at a house with reasonable rent, but she needs our help for the initial move-in costs:

* Security Deposit:  $1770 ($1620 + $150 additional for the dogs)
* Utilities (Water/Electric):  $200
* Getting back her dogs from boarding:  $700
* Pro-Rated rent for May:  $539

Total:  $3209

The good news is, pk's first diary brought in $1100.  But we still need to raise $2109.  Follow me below to see the ways you can help.

First, Fineena is a very very talented fiber artist.  Purchasing an item from her Etsy shop, WillieRU will not only help her out, but you'll get a wonderful scarf or purse in return (I have several scarves/cowls, they are great craftsmanship, and beautiful!).  Or you can purchase a gift certificate for now to redeem closer to the holidays.

If you just want to donate directly, Fineena's paypal is PALSKaren@aol.com.

If you can't contribute right now, please Tip/Rec/Share this diary for visibility, so that others can see it - you never know who will see the diary as a result that may be able to help.

So, let's get Fineena reunited with her dogs and in secure housing.  I'll start with a $50 paypal donation - who's with me?

Edit:
This is the house Fineena is looking to get into:

From Fineena:  "It has a fenced yard for the pups which is most important.  All the appliances are there & also the prior tenant left behind his washer/dryer - yeah!  It's a little less than 700 sqft, has 2 bedrooms, hardwood floors & it's about 2 streets over from where I grew up."

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
