Since I pulled out of the drive at 4:38 AM, I've got farther than I intended. Also, since I never stopped in Wilkes Barre before, I thought I'd give them my business. Certainly didn't want to stop in Hazleton, PA. Did that twice and ended up in the boonies. Hazelton has three exits, none of which are close to the center of the burg that passed a law banning undocumented immigrants.
Light rain through most of the Blue Ridge and the Shenandoah Valley, so there was no temptation to stop, except for gas.
Managed to find pretty consistent Country-Western and Folk stations and NPR, from time to time. NPR tells us that Mrs. Obama substituted for the President today in giving the weekly Saturday morning address. It was her first solo outing in that slot. The topic was the students kidnapped in Nigeria. For some reason, every report ended with the notation that Michelle Obama had asked for prayers for their safe return. Mother's Day was the implied occasion.
I, of course, continue to think we're looking for a Biden/Obama ticket in 2016 and Michelle is collecting some foreign policy creds.
Of Course I May Be Wrong. But, there's no question that Republicans who complain about Barack Obama being stealthy have reason. Hillary's being a good sport and taking the flack.

Inquiries about beer at the Perkins Family Restaurant elicited consternation from the gaggle of high schoolers manning the front desk. However, one eventually was prompted to reveal that the next over Comfort Inn has a pub, which also serves food. I had a broiled chicken Casesar salad and a Corona.
