"When you pay a woman for sex, you are not together with her," he further testified. "You're paying her for a few moments to use her body for sex. Is it clear? Is it clear?"
Yessir, it's very clear. And I don't even have to name the person who made that statement.
An incredibly ugly and racist and sexist -- Hell, even his own kid did not escape his ugly abuse -- man and, unfortunately, this man is the ugly, racist, sexist face of America because America failed to repudiate him.
But, it goes beyond that, America.
You failed to enact an equal rights amendment for women.
Looking at the history of the Equal Rights Amendment, by January 24, 1977, 35 states had ratified it ... within the next two years five states had reversed themselves and rescinded their ratification. Long may we remember these states in their infamy against the women of America:
Nebraska: March 15, 1973
Tennessee: April 23, 1974
Idaho: February 8, 1977
Kentucky: March 17, 1978
South Dakota: March 1, 1979
According to stats in 2007, wonderful America ranked 41st in the world in regard to maternal mortality:
WASHINGTON -- The United States ranks 41st in the world for maternal mortality, with 1 in 4,800 women dying from pregnancy complications, several major international organizations reported Friday.
The U.S. was tied with the eastern European country of Belarus and just above Serbia and Montenegro. Ireland led the world with one death in 47,600, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy. Niger had the most deaths per pregnancy at 1 in 7.
Now it appears that the wonderful nation of America has slipped to the
48th nation.
It remains to be seen as to whether or not America can elect a woman president in 2016. Hillary Clinton might have the momentum to accomplish that.
And, the question is justifiably raised: Is America a Rape Culture?:
We live in a country where politicians call rape a “gift from God” and suggest that women regularly lie about being raped. Where a group of young men in high school think so little of sexual assault that they thought it was fine—hilarious, even—to post pictures online of a passed out rape victim, and to live-tweet the rape, joking about the victim being urinated on. We live in a country where media as revered as The New York Times finds it necessary to describe an 11-year-old gang rape victim as “wearing makeup and fashions more appropriate to a woman in her 20s.” Where a woman can be fired because her boss finds her “irresistable” and a woman’s rape case falls flat because she isn’t married.
Oh yes, and Rump Limpballs still rules the airwaves which once belonged to Americans like me, Rumpy and his
Sandra Fluke nastiness ...
